This class is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 8. Students learn the same kicks, strikes, techniques and forms that all age groups are taught. However, the focus is on that of fun and creative drills to help teach skills that can be used throughout life.
The Junior Class is developed for children between the ages of 8 and 12. With an increased focus on traditional material (forms and number combinations), the children’s self discipline is tested more at this level. It is at this age that we require the students to remember techniques with minimal help from the instructors. The intensity of the drills are increased, as well, to help develop stronger tendons, ligaments and joints.
This class is for young adults, aged 12 through 16. Students at this age level are constantly preparing for new phases in life, such as, high school. Therefore, confidence can be an issue. In the teen class, we assist the students in building this confidence by setting goals and helping the students achieve them. Self-defense also plays a larger role in these classes. With college and adulthood just around the corner, we provide sound self-defense techniques and concepts that will, with practice, serve the young adults well in the future.
Ranging from mature teens, to 60, even 70 year old adults, this class focuses heavily on self-defense and uses drills to develop cardiovascular endurance, as well as provide beneficial exercise for a full body workout. In-depth explanations of self-defense techniques, along with real world training exercises, show how even the most basic of moves can be applied to altercations on the street. The adult class is kept less regimented than the other groups to create a relaxed and friendly environment. This helps students learn, relieve stress, and enjoy the lessons.
Diet, dedication and discipline combined with our exciting cardio kickboxing class is a fun way for women to get into and stay in shape. The combination of resistance band training, intense abdominal exercises and cardiovascular bag drills combined with a variety of other exercises help to create a fun full body workout for women of all ages. The class is at your own pace and there is no pressure to keep up with other students.
